Friendly staff, free parking. Not a bad experience there yet. My preferred hospital in the area.
We have always gone to OSF. The hospital tries very hard to accommodate the patients . The cafeteria is excellent. The staff are kind and work very hard. Oh, you do get some rude , crude idiots that should have never been birthed working there but that is in any place. The hospital is clean. I do think it would be nice if OSF would bring in more specialists. It is often difficult to drive to Peoria to see a specialist and then the waiting time for them is usually 4-6 months in between visits.
Last night I took my 22 month old to ER because he had a temp of 103.8 got there the ER was packed kids area was dirty with candy wrappers n tissues waited a hour or more to just get triaged after the nurse triaged my son she told us it was a 3 hour or more wait to get back in ER if we wanted to leave just let them know talked it over with my husband n we decided to leave n go to cottage when I told her we were going to leave she argued with me I needed to sign an AMA I asked her why I’m signing an AMA n she said because I’m leaving under medical disgression I said what medical disgression his vital are stable his 02 stats were great and the nurse told us if we wanted to leave we could just let the front desk know this went on for about 2 minutes the front desk person was rude every time I went up to front desk prior to getting into triage she was on her phone after leaving your ER I got in and out with in a hour and fifteen minutes while I was waiting for my sons test results back in cottage ER I saw 3 other families that were the waiting at St. Mary’s ER. You guys really need to get your act together especially since you guys lost a big contract with BCBS
This is my fav hospital... very caring..
Just had a HSG done by Dr. Williams, a radiologist. The staff was professional and pleasant. The HSG procedure was painfree. Dr. was cognizant of my comfort the entire procedure. I'm more than happy with this experience.
