the long and short of it is that i will eventually need 4 implants at $3,500 a piece to fix this problem. dentists i have seen since have told me that these teeth should have been root canaled and capped originally and this problem would never have happened. i am now in a spot where i have to come up with 15k to fix these teeth or suffer debilitating pain.

My brother insisted for years that he was having jaw issues - the dentist brushed off his concerns, saying that he must just have been chewing too much gum. The new dentist caught on right away that he had severe TMJ that he wound up needing a $3,000 mouthpiece to help correct. My mom once went in for a regular cleaning (after a bad childhood experience, she is very diligent about her teeth), and the dental hygienist was so busy trying to carry on a conversation, that she wound up picking at one of my mom's fillings, pulling it completely out. During a visit in which I was getting a few fillings, they put the mask for the nitrous oxide on my face so tightly that it left indentations on both of my cheeks, and it ended up making me half sick. My father had all of his teeth pulled and got dentures, but after four different realignments, he decided they office just didn't know what they were doing - so he's stuck with a pair of dentures that have never fit him properly. I complained at one point about having a severe toothache - was told that it was just my sinus' and it would go away. After switching dentists and never really having cured the tooth pain, we discover that it was actually an infection that had calcified the roots to that tooth. The resulting root canal took two appointments, the first was three hours and the second was almost two. By not having caught the infection in the beginning, I could have gotten very ill, as dental infections can spread to the bloodstream, affecting organs like your heart.

i would not recommend this dentist to my worst enemy. i remember dr. sayars telling me that the 4 cavities i had were "borderline teeth" that were on the border of filling a huge cavity or doing a root canal and capping the teeth. well the dr. decided to fill huge cavities in all 4. since then, 2 of these teeth slowly started breaking [within 2 years] around the filling until both entire mohlars eventually broke off entirely. i need to have two partial extractions done on these teeth to remove the root that is still in place and causes me horrific pain--> and then i will hav to have implants put in. the other two mohlars are broken and jagged and missing the filling and they are on their way to breaking off completely and both of these cause me lots of pain as well.

My advice: Save yourself time and a headache and go to a different dentist.

So very upset, I made her take my daughter to Peoria to see a real dentist at which they told my wife she had cavity and it had rotted her 4 front teeth. Her treatment was delayed due to the lack of service we recieved.

We switched to a new dentist in Peoria who is absolutely appalled at the quality of the dental work we had done at this office. At my last appointment, we were discussing how much work my family and I have had to have redone and he said "At this point, I'm just trying to put you all back together. These aren't new problems that I'm fixing - it's just the ones that weren't fixed properly the first time."

Dissatisfied I told my wife to take my daughter to go have her teeth cleaned. Unfortunantel she went to the same place, they told my wife the same thing and did the same thing.

My advice is for anyone who needs to get there teeth treated stay away from this place. They are uneducated and lazy, I wonder if they are even registered or certified. They lack the educational expertise to treat there patients. They should be investigated to make sure there practice is up to standards. All they did was robbed our dental isurance for same pathetic service.

My 1st time having a tooth pulled & they were all great with me. I would definitely go back!!! I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Kandy! Thank you for helping me stay calm.

so thanks a lot dr. sayars for a job well done!

the worse part of this whole thing is...I now live in CA and when i called the dentist...i was brushed off and told that basically there is nothing that they can do...and if i want to come back in for an exam...they can tell me what treatment plan i would need [to correct their original screw up] and they could then do the implants or whatever work i needed...but i would of course have to pay full price for this work. they said it has been so long that they can not replace/repair anything. are fillings and caps and dental work supposed to last for 5-6 years and then u have to pay 15k to keep your teeth up? they could at least offer to give me a discount or some sort of compensation for the poor work they did previously that lasted for 5-6 years. this place ushered me in and out so fast each visit i hardly suspect that they took the time to really evaluate what treatment would be best for me, but rather they stacked up as many appointments as they can possibly fit into a day and did whatever treatment is fastest and cheapest. thats how they made me feel at least. i have no idea how i am going to fix this problem, but i am now a 30 year old adult and this whole dental incident has caused me more pain, misery, wasted time, and inconvenience then i could type out on 5 pages.

I love the staff that works there....but that's about it. My dental work has left me in pain for the last 5 months and I still cannot eat on one side of my mouth. My husband had 2 root canals done, same time and is having the same problem. My son had a cavity filled there as well and he still has problem with the tooth. Save your money and go somewhere else.

My wife took my daughter to this place to have her teeth looked at. Her teeth looked like they were decaying from cavity. They told my wife that she must have take some medication when she was pregnant and it cause a reaction with her tooth. They spent 5 mins looking at it and charged her 100 and something dollars.

Something was always off about their billing practices. After insurance, they insisted our portion of a dental crown was $500. At our new dentist, it is somehow less than $100 (and the same quality of materials are used, we checked).
