The food is always fresh and very good! The menu has a good variety of food and drinks. The service is always good even when busy.
It's also worth noting that it is a very good looking restaurant! It looks very clean and modern.
First time we went to Iron Spike it was delish. We have probably gone at least 5 more times since and it was average. Tonight was the worst. I had fish and chips that were so full of breading, not like the first time I had it. Husbands pork chop tough. Had to wait over 30 minutes for food. Told waitress I would never order this again she just giggled. Not sure We will go back.
I was in Galesburg on business and stopped by to try the place. I took a seat at the bar and was immediately waited on by a friendly and energetic young man who had good knowledge of the menu and offered suggestions. Since its a brewpub I went with a stout for my beverage. I chose the bison burger with bleu cheese from the menu with the complimentary side of fresh roasted vegetables. The stout was smooth and creamy and the bison burger was quite good. I like the fact Iron Spike offers a healthy side like the roasted vegetables as opposed to the standard fries or onion rings. The bill was reasonable and the staff friendly. I might suggest expanding the lunch menu to include more than burgers and sandwiches. For example, the macaroni and cheese on the dinner menu could be added to the lunch menu with little to no difficulty. All in all a pleasant experience.

Iron Spike provided space for our rehearsal dinner. We were able to choose our own limited menu. The food and service were top notch all the way around!
